You can buy radon kits at your local hardware store, or you can have a professional come in and do the testing. Typically kits are left in the home for at least 24 hours. All doors and windows are to remain shut during testing. When a homeowner still lives in the home this makes it very difficult to have a valid test because they are going in and out.
